What is Soft Strip / Internal Demolition?

Internal demolition, strip out or soft strip demolition works involve the removal of all non-structural elements of a building’s interior. Soft strip works can also remove non-essential parts of the exterior. The goal of a soft strip is to leave only the structural framework of the building in a state ready for refurbishment or remodelling. In some cases, strip-outs are performed to salvage materials and equipment before a full demolition.
